[00:00:07] Speaker A: It nearly killed him. He's. He. He might not tech. This might be an AI algorithm hologram of Jake Hutchinson, but he did it. [00:00:16] Speaker B: I had to show up because I looked at myself and I went, oh, I had. I had such bad sleep patterns that I woke up this morning. I went, I shaved yesterday. Right. And then I looked and went, oh, not that I can actually grow real facial hair, but I was just horrified at the thought of my own existence and what I looked like. The power of having your girlfriend out of town, folks. [00:00:38] Speaker A: Oh, buddy, buddy, don't even start. You can, you can very easily tell when the. The old ball and chain is away. What are we talking about? We should be talking about Sickos Football. [00:00:49] Speaker B: The guides out. It's. [00:00:51] Speaker A: The guide is out and you can access it at Sickos Football. That's really the entire video. [00:00:58] Speaker B: If it doesn't work, put a www.in front of it and that should, that should sort it out. [00:01:03] Speaker A: Worldwide web.sicks.football. [00:01:06] Speaker B: go to aol.com [00:01:11] Speaker A: go to Ask Jeeves and see if they can loop it in open Netscape Navigator and do it. Okay, so Sickos Football is live. And this is. It's very similar in so many ways. A lot of the motifs of last year's draft guide have carried forward because those were good motifs and we should have kept them. But now it's this whole thing about, it's 2026. Why can't I click the buttons? Why isn't this interactive? And Jake Hutchinson thought that through and said, you know what? We live in a time of wonderful abundance. Let's go burn some Amazon rainforest trees and let's make this thing happen. So we have Sickos Dot Football now. And you know what? Let's, let's stop bandy and about. Let's just give you the good stuff here. [00:01:57] Speaker B: Yep. [00:01:58] Speaker A: We're not going to go like and show you the whole thing, but suffice it to say, there's plenty to get into, baby. [00:02:06] Speaker B: Double, double guys. [00:02:08] Speaker A: Double guys. These are, these are the guys that we're double teaming here on Sickos Football. Again, it's a serious football talk by unserious people. And this is approved for official Sickos before we dive into the 10 guys. And I don't know if this is copyright or anything. Our big ten. Jake just created a fantasy corner for this draft guide without telling me. [00:02:32] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. So there's a fantasy element because. Because here's the thing. Every time I would tell people who weren't actual Sickos about it, like friends or friends of friends or family members. They'd be like, is there a fantasy element? I was like, no, I didn't get into those projections, so I added it. Now, that section, I'm updating it as I go. There's, there's a couple things I want to tweak a little bit, but it's like a reflection and general projection of our board and a couple other tools and target stuff and don't ask and all that. But it does, it does have, it does have some projections. Got a low end, medium to likely end, high end. Some of it's, some of it's a little optimistic, but you want to go super high end. You have it. And then there's like a little bit of stat comp there. So there's a fantasy component. [00:03:23] Speaker A: Who knows? Absolutely. But if we're just talking draft, I mean, it's incredible and like, a really fun thing to find out this morning. But also we have what we've done now for two years and loosely for a few years now, which is, you know, last year we did a buck 50, our top 150. This year we did 100. And it's not because we couldn't get to 150. We both ranked 150. It's because, frankly, after about 100, it gets real loose real fast, More meaningful [00:03:57] Speaker B: to, to do a top 100. Because it's just this, this type of draft where I think it falls off, it gets weird. I, I, 100 is more meaningful. [00:04:06] Speaker A: 100. Listen, there's, there's some differentiations. When we're doing Jake's top hundred, you can compare and contrast. Some guys that I'm much higher on, some guys that, you know, Jake is higher on, and that, that's interesting and fun. We also have, as you can see in the middle of the screen here, the, the, the badges, the stinking badges where, you know, players that we have determined, either Jake or myself or both of us have said, this guy, this guy's smart. I like watching him play football. He clearly knows what's going on. Brains. Blue chip athlete. [00:04:35] Speaker B: There's like, there is one that you can't click but should zoom in on so the sickos can see you can't click it. Because people need. There is exactly one badge. [00:04:46] Speaker A: There is one Greg Dortch in this class, and he is worth the price of admission, I'll tell you that right now. [00:04:52] Speaker B: Yeah, we can't reveal him to you, unfortunately, at this, at this time. You gotta pay for the guide for that sort of sweet stuff. But, but there's one Badge. [00:05:01] Speaker A: Guys who want the smoke, guys who are a total mystery box. Guys who are heat seeking missiles. [00:05:06] Speaker B: I mean guys who make me vomit by watching their tape. Doesn't mean they're necessarily undraftable, but who I, I hate watching. [00:05:13] Speaker A: There's 20 of them. There's nine guys with an injury flag. We should certainly have more than that. But we only flag nine guys who are eye catching. They pop off the screen. If you wanted to view the draft via that way, hey, that's fun. Also you're just thinking, hey, this is a guy that I'm interested in. These badges tell you a full story. You can read what you know, Jake mostly or, and I wrote about him. But really the badges tell the story here. [00:05:37] Speaker B: So those are all rating too. You know, if a guy is you, you can sort by if a guy is a Joanne Jennings like a terrible athlete but hey, maybe qualify as a yikes. [00:05:47] Speaker A: Or an oh dear God. [00:05:48] Speaker B: Oh dear God. No, he was an oh dear God no athlete. It's like him, Jarvis Landry, Orlando Brown, that sort of player. Just horrific testing either due to injury or whatnot. Right. But it's just like they earn the gamer badge. [00:06:02] Speaker A: The ones, the ones where, and by the way, there are some great athletes that also have a gamer badge where it's like, oh boy, you know, don't, don't even start them. These guys love to play football. But yeah, I mean they're, they're. There's so much to dive into. We can't give it all away. Obviously we're trying to make some monies here. But I thought it was interesting, you know, I was going through, I was trying to Compare our top 100 lists. Obviously I could have done this at any point before today, but I decided to do it today. But I thought, okay, we both put like the seal of approval. Like I feel really good about this guy. I want my name to be associated with this man's football career from this point on. We, I think last year were a little looser with this and this year I think we were a bit stingier and, and I found it interesting, the guys that we both chose as our guys, it turned out to be 10, just 10 guys. And you can see them on the screen. [00:06:52] Speaker B: Perfect. [00:06:53] Speaker A: And obviously they are all top 100 players. That would be weird if it wasn't. But you know, you never know. And I just kind of wanted to go. [00:07:01] Speaker B: We've got badges for some seventh rounders though. Like yes, like there's, you'll have to pay to see that. But, but like there's some. Yeah. On our crossovers, it's just top 100 guys. Right. [00:07:12] Speaker A: So. And. And one Greg Dortch. But it is interesting because I would say that these are. We've talked about a lot of these guys. I'm not sure if we've hammered home this point on a few of them. So, like Chris Brazil we've talked about ad nauseam. We're both so far in. You have him as the number two wide receiver. Go in all that good stuff. Jeremy Bernard. I think we've kind of glossed over why we both really like him. And I kind of wanted to explore that now. Like, what is it about Jeremy Bernard, that gate that earned the stamp of approval for you? Jay Hutchinson. [00:07:45] Speaker B: But he's so smooth. He's just so smooth. And there's like an element of. Of watching him play where you're like, this is kind of Stefan Diggsy in some ways, where it's snappy, it's clean. He's got elite physical traits. There's just some, like sometimes where you watch him and you're like, do you want to play football at all? Are you completely checked out of Alabama system? But I think he's got great traits. I just like the way he. He moves as a receiver. I think it's really special. I think there's huge upside and he can kind of fit into most modern schemes. [00:08:18] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. I think he can play anywhere. I loved his blocking. I thought that was really solid. He seems like an elite teammate, at least when it comes to the way he plays football. And when you think about the asks of modern receivers, like, Brazil's clearly an X. You could move him around if you wanted to, but why would you want to? He's an. He's an elite X receiver prospect, at least according to you and me. And we don't agree on all of this. But Bernard, it's like you can play him at X, you can play him at Z, you can play him at flank, you can move him into the backfield if you had to. He's smooth. He clearly knows what's going on. He's willing to sacrifice. There was a lot to love there. And for like a day two pick. That's really exciting. We've talked about Caden Proctor more than any person perhaps in the channel's history. I mean, it's Brock Purdy and Kaden Proctor. 12 to Trey Zun, though, is a name that, again, I think we've kind of glossed over a little bit. We both love him. To me, he stands out as just like a five position stalwart. Like maybe a Joe Thuney is a bit blasphemous, maybe a Graham Barton is a bit blasphemous. But I could play him at either of the tackle spots. Obviously right would be preferable. I think he's an immediately exceptional guard, starting caliber guard and I wouldn't be shocked if he just hey, you need to play center this week. Oh whoops. I'm good at that too. [00:09:34] Speaker B: Like Trey Zoo is inside. I think he's a better fit inside. I think there's some like getting out over his skis as a tackle that I don't love. [00:09:43] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:09:44] Speaker B: But I do think he's like, he's a pretty good athlete. He's got a lot of like bend and torque and just like a high motor, high energy level where he's able to reset his feet and just survive. And there's enough. I don't know if it's, if it's his balance so much as it is his will to just put it all out there, but he really just survives reps in really impressive ways. Gets off the ball quick, high effort. Guy who moves well and I just think will kind of do well wherever you put him. But I do think is is in my head probably more of a center. [00:10:21] Speaker A: I do think that we might have a type at edge rusher though, Jake we which is just bash you in the face inside, outside obviously by Kel Williams being the case in point. Ironically, we did not take Keldrick Falk, both of us. I certainly did. Again, I got to type. But it is Akeem Macedor and Gabe Jackass both of which will absolutely shove you in a locker on their way to the quarterback. [00:10:48] Speaker B: No question. And listen, I don't know if Gabe Jack is going to develop a full skill set. He doesn't really have a plan out there all the time. That said, I don't care. I'm trying to remember but there's a couple guys in last class where you're like, I just like the physical tools. And I think he's going to figure it out. I think he's playing at Illinois and they're like, we don't know what to tell you to do but go do whatever you want to do. And he's going to get with a better NFL coach and he'll figure it out because his motor's high, he's frame is impressive. And there's some times where you're like, those hands are pretty good. The strength is, is really impressive. And I Think he's going to figure it out. And then Mazador, it's like, all right, well, if you stay healthy, he's like the most polished edge rusher day one where you're just like, oh, I'm getting a guy who can start at edge day one and just like, actually collapse the pocket. Sure. I don't care if he survives only two seasons. I need him right now. [00:11:45] Speaker A: Right, right. That is a buy now, worry later sort of purchase 25 again. But he played inside, he played outside. I think he has the moves to play a nine. He's certainly a five. You can put him at three. You play him at one in a sub package. There's a lot to love with Akeem Messador and by all accounts, like a go to in the locker room at Miami. Good locker room to be a go to in defensive lineman. I came around late on the defensive lineman in this class. I was. I was searching for love in all the wrong places. And you kept saying, Kaden McDonald's better than you give him credit for either. Kaden McDonald's better. And then you kept watching, I kept watching. And it's hard to focus on Kaden McDonald when there's so many fun moving parts around him. And then you just realize, oh, maybe this is all working at this incredible level because Kaden McDonald's in there just winning every rep. He's just winning. He's a special, unremarkable player who is 1000% sickos approved. Like, this guy is in the. The tart and put a Ford category of just. I get the job done. We're the reason that we have a competent defense. Kaden McDonald is. Is the man. [00:12:55] Speaker B: I love him. I love him. He's. Listen, I don't know if you. If you can expect anything from him in the past game. No, there is a little side. There is. There is upside, there's power, there's a little bit of that pop. I think it's going to take time or maybe it doesn't. Maybe he's just so robust that he just figures it out. But in terms of a guy who's like, day one, going to be a very good run defender, who's going to eat up space, who's going to make everyone's life easier. We've talked a lot about the Niners linebackers, and when Fred Warner looked a little, not last year, but the year before, where he was like, under siege without anyone else next to him and without anyone to protect him up front, and teams were just attacking him. They're like, if we attack Fred Warner, the rest of this defense will crumble. And it did. It's because there's no one up front to protect him. And the 49ers were proactive about that, even if it didn't totally work in trying to protect their linebackers, it worked a lot better than it did the previous year. Jason McDonald is a guy who solves all that, where you're like, yeah, if you draft him at the end of round one, it's probably early. I think he's a. He's the earliest round two guy. Like, pick 33 is perfect. Yeah. But I don't. Like, he's so, so good at eating up space, creating problems, and making two guys have to worry about him in the run game that everybody else's job gets easier. [00:14:16] Speaker A: Absolutely. And it wouldn't shock me at all if he's the guy who a Harbaugh is. Like, what if we just did this at, like, 14? And you'd be like, oh, that's a little early. But also, it makes perfect sense. He's. This was not his comp. This really just came to me. He's like the Brooke Lopez of, like, you kind of have to have that guy so that all the other guys can do their jobs. But this guy just does his, like, two things. Like, I protect rim. [00:14:42] Speaker B: And occasionally you're like, where's he sitting? Corner threes. [00:14:46] Speaker A: Yeah. What's going on here with Brook Lopez? Just that he does his job so everyone else can do fun, cool things. It was certainly the case at Ohio State. I imagine it would be the case at the NFL level. And he's going to be somebody who is probably going to shock the layperson in terms of where he gets picked. And then there's Nick Barrett, who, again, we came late, but almost the inverse. Right. Like, maybe doesn't do all the dirty things that you want to do, but, boy, does he have that pot, baby boy, he's coming for you. And if there's anybody who's going to turn into just a centerpiece of a defense, who every offensive coordinator is like, what the hell do we do against this defensive tackle? And the same, like, you know, Carter and Davis. And along those lines, I mean, obviously, we're not going to, again, go like, Donald or even Chris Jones, but to the effect of, like, I don't know what to do. Like, Nick Barrett's going to end up being that guy. [00:15:40] Speaker B: And I would like for you to open it up for you so people can see the comp. [00:15:45] Speaker A: Nick Barrett, comp. [00:15:45] Speaker B: Okay, here we go the Nick Barrett comp. [00:15:47] Speaker A: And now you're getting a good taste. So he's a handful, He's a gamer, he's slippery, he's a technician, he lifts. He's a wrecker. He has a superior athleticism upside someone who can disrupt both facets of the game in a robust frame in a mid. Mid pick price point. That sounds good to me. Downside, a little too hungry for playmaking at times that could cost him, especially when he's more explosive in a straight line than laterally. A little like Grayson Halton, but with better balance. We go into all of these, you know, Jake has a great take on him every now and again. [00:16:15] Speaker B: I chip though your comparison is. Is, I think, perfect for him. [00:16:18] Speaker A: Spring loaded Devon Hamilton just pop in your face every. Every time he's on the field. He is impossible to miss. And that is a good. Bad, mostly good, but. And you're kind of just watching and [00:16:32] Speaker B: you're like, south Carolina is interesting. They've always got good defensive players with some pop. They always find good athletes. And you're like. Because you look through this board and you're like, I don't know, you. You get to the mid rounds, you're like, maybe, maybe you're like, who is this guy? Where on the initial boards, he's like 300 or something. And, and it changes over the course of time, but you're like, all right, I'll look at him. You're like, who. Who's Nick Barrett? And then he just gets your attention. [00:16:55] Speaker A: I had him at 44 of my top 100. I. I couldn't quit him. I loved him. You had a 96. And there's like, it's interesting some of the differentiations there. And then you get into personal biases and such. C.J. allen, Georgia linebacker. Not my favorite linebacker, but yeah, the linebacker that you wanted. [00:17:13] Speaker B: Listen, I've. I've loved C.J. allenson's last year. And it's funny, I think it's something that happens where it's like, you see a guy who's great early on, and then they're not quite as great in that second year where their team declines, their interest level wanes. They maybe have some injury issues a little bit. The scheme evolves in the wrong way. [00:17:33] Speaker A: But enough about Peter woods. [00:17:37] Speaker B: And you're like, you sort of lose that interest, even though you should trust the old tape a little bit. Yeah. And. And so there's that element. He is probably not. And in comparison to some of the other linebackers, he's not as fluid. Right. Like he's a good athlete, but he's not. I think that top level athlete where it's super fluid, he's a tiny bit clunky at times, but my God, you can start him at middle linebacker day one and be like, he's going to fit the run tremendously well. He's probably not going to be a liability in pass coverage. He maybe won't be as high upside as some of the other guys in this class in terms of pass coverage. But like just, just so, so, so reliably good with a great frame is going to do everything right for the most part. You don't have to worry about maybe turns to be like, instead of an S tier guy is just the heart of the A tier. I'm fine with that. [00:18:30] Speaker A: Pro bowl, not all pro. My, what a terrible pick. He's just a perennial Pro Bowler. [00:18:36] Speaker B: A two time. A two time Pro Bowler. [00:18:39] Speaker A: Sure. Yeah. There's, there's a lot of defenses that would absolutely kill to get somebody like that, his age. By the way, I think he's only 21. [00:18:48] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:18:49] Speaker A: Just. [00:18:50] Speaker B: He was wonderful. Yeah. I think he was a sophomore last year. I was like, oh my God. [00:18:53] Speaker A: Yeah, I remember him when he was a true freshman and they were playing with Mike, like, that seems good. It's kind of like that. Yeah. Caleb Downs and him, those are the two guys where they were true freshmen. And you're like, yeah, we're going to go with that in this class. And then Chris Johnson, who has been my cornerback, draft crush since the day we started doing this. Not easy to find the Mountain west tape, but we did. We found it. [00:19:18] Speaker B: And once we did, by the way, can we get more than 240p on the mountain west tape and somebody. Can somebody from San Diego State invest in a better camera? I will fund you personally. [00:19:30] Speaker A: What I don't, what I don't quite understand is why these colleges aren't keen to. I know that they have the technology. Like, yeah, put your stuff out there. What are you, what scheme are you hiding? [00:19:44] Speaker B: Why they're so like. You're not hiding scheme. Everybody's running either like a spread it out offense, some team or your Navy. Right, Right. Like, yeah. And that's kind of it. [00:19:56] Speaker A: Yeah. I think Rice runs like a modified triple. [00:20:00] Speaker B: Right. [00:20:00] Speaker A: Right. [00:20:01] Speaker B: Or it's Tennessee and you're doing this horrible, weird split things. No one's blocking and you're just like, what's happening here? I'm losing my mind. Chris Johnson. It's funny because you watch him and you're like the only questions athleticism. And then he tests off the charts. And you watch him and you're like, I don't care what conference this is. This guy knows there's such a level of high IQ that it's with some guys you're like, I don't know, maybe it's a scheme, maybe it's the coach. And there's other guys where you're like, he knows ball more than I will ever know in my entire life. Flashed in this one moment in terms of like triggering on a screen before. Like, the indicators of the screen even show up, like, knowing that, oh, they get into this formation, they're going to throw a screen and the quarterback has to turn it down because he's this, he's almost too eager. He almost knows too much. He's like diving at it. And the quarterback goes, oh, that's going to be a pick six. Where if he waits a half second longer, it would be a pick six. Like, he just knows what's coming based on. [00:21:02] Speaker A: I know that you know that you [00:21:04] Speaker B: know that I know based on formation. Like, you know, he does film study and he just is like, I think designed to be a perfect corner. Like, I really don't have any questions about him being good, which is pretty hard to say. [00:21:15] Speaker A: And the floor of all of it is what a special teamer he's going to be. And like, did special teams reps at San Diego State, like, clearly wanted that smoke. So he got many, many, many badges. What else should we tell the fine folks about Sickos football in the draft guide? [00:21:30] Speaker B: What else? What else can we tell you? You can, you can type in players top right if you want to. I mean, it's all there. It's all there for you. You can sort by round. So if you want to see like we. I cut out quite a few undrafted free agents because I was sort of losing my mind. [00:21:50] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:21:51] Speaker B: And I was like, these guys just don't belong. But there are a few undrafted free agents in there. You can sort by round, you can sort by other stuff. If you click into, let's say Brazil, just, just to show them a flash of the fantasy corner. [00:22:06] Speaker A: Sure. [00:22:06] Speaker B: So if you look at that, here we go. Got some projections, got some comps, got some, some coverage upside. [00:22:15] Speaker A: The coverage stuff is insane. It's so good. [00:22:19] Speaker B: It's, it's. Some of it's a little strange, some of it's wonky and you know, I, I can improve some, but I, I think it's, it's got most of what we want. It's just floor likely ceiling. And you can go from there because people want to know, like, okay, this is great, but like, should I draft him? And I think one thing I want to add is like the type of scheme players would fit into more like ideal fits. So if I talk. [00:22:46] Speaker A: We talk about that a little bit in the evals. We talk about that a little bit with. With comps. Like that's there, by the way. Like you want to talk about somebody that we're super into our floor. Maybe it's just yours. The floor for Brazil is five tuddies on 36 receptions. Like we're. So we're so far in what was the Megatron meet Thinatron, right? Pretty good. [00:23:10] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:23:11] Speaker A: Pretty good. [00:23:11] Speaker B: Thank you. Some of. Some of the superlatives are really good and some of them you start to see that Jake started to go cross eyed at the process. [00:23:18] Speaker A: You know, it's interesting you threw in. So I went through and I gave the comps on. On everybody to start. And then you came in and obviously have your own spin on things. So you added your own. So I had Chad Johnson who when I think of someone who just d sells and puts on the brakes as well as Anybody in recent NFL history, I think Chad Ochocinko Johnson, you went with A.J. green. What stood out to you with A.J. green in the comp there? [00:23:44] Speaker B: I think we needed more of someone who emphasized the size and the ability of like a long receiver who just really causes problems and who might end up on an underrated. Not underrated, a bad team, but consistently produces. So in the. In terms of the NFL scale, gets forgotten about a little bit, but has speed, has size, has craft and uses it all really well. So AJ Green was. Was that for me? [00:24:11] Speaker A: He was a hell of a player when he was around. We just love Bengals. Couldn't get enough Bengals. I wonder where this guy's going to end up. [00:24:18] Speaker B: Should have thrown T. Higgins in there, which is also in the comps. [00:24:22] Speaker A: Mike Evans contested, but T. Higgins. Yeah. And yeah. Also yeah. [00:24:28] Speaker B: Had a 30 visit. Which with the Niners or is having a 30 visit? And I know that stuff doesn't always matter because they draft players off the list. Pearsall didn't have one. I don't think. Right. That stuff gets overblown. That said, for my own narratives, I think Chris Brazell at 27 is a very real possibility. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. [00:24:47] Speaker A: Can't disagree with you. And having him as top 30 goes against a lot of consensus and you and I are both like I don't care what the other people say. Like this guy is going to be absolutely awesome because it's hard to find good X receivers. I can find you a dozen Z receivers and God can I find you a slot guy. And of course is real hard. [00:25:09] Speaker B: Right? Of course the thing is like offensive lineman, all that which by the way I love this stupid thing that everyone's doing where they're just mocking like Caleb Lamu to the Niners. [00:25:17] Speaker A: Oh, it's the best. [00:25:18] Speaker B: I will make a very clear prediction. Doesn't happen. No doesn't. Unless it's in round two. Not going to happen at 27 is my prediction. And I and, and if that's wrong I will eat my words. But I just don't think that makes a lot of sense for them. I think he's light handed. I they're not trading Trent. They need a guy eventually to replace Trent but like I don't think they would spend a pick in round one. And again with wide receiver you there's a red shirt capability too but like I think they'd rather have a high upside. Really, really athletic wide receiver who can play especially if like you've got these older players and some guys that are injury concerns as like a high level. Bring him in as like wide receiver 3, 4, 5, depending on how camp shakes out, have him learn for Mike Evans. I think that's a likelier situation than it is to draft sort of a squint and you can see it. Offensive tackle that has no role for this team on day one because they can't even theoretically play guard. And by the way this team already signed a swing tackle in the Durian Lao which I think people forget about and still I think has Austin Pleasance. [00:26:29] Speaker A: Yeah, beyond that, beyond that. Don't forget two years ago they, they drafted an understudy wide receiver. Like it was not supposed to be Ricky Pearsall in 2024. He was supposed to be Debo's replacement. The next year you get in, Kyle gives you that red shirt year as he's going to do whether you get drafted in the first round or not and then you get thrown to the wolves the next year. It didn't work out that way because of 2024 and all that came along with it. But wouldn't that make sense at X received the entire goal of getting Ricky Piersol was you have Brandon Iuk on one side, Ricky Pearsall on the other and we don't play enough three wide receiver sets to have to worry about it too much. So we'll, we'll figure that one out on the fly. You don't have a Brandon Iuk, so you get a one year gap with a Mike Evans. You do have Ricky Pearsall at Z for whatever that's worth at this juncture. You still are figuring it out at flank. Maybe it's Christian Kirk or, you know, whomever you can run a bunch of guys through there. You have Kirk as a backup as possibility when Pearsall gets injured. Like it makes a lot of sense to have that true backup X, which is something that I don't think they have because I don't think that Jordan Watkins is that guy. [00:27:33] Speaker B: And consider the, consider next year where Mike Evans is a one plus one. He might be done after this year. Like either he retires or it doesn't work out or they just want him off the books. That's a real possibility. It could be two years, it could be three years. Who knows? But like, you can't really count on anything for Evans. It's structured as a one year deal and then figure it out later. Christian Kirk's a one year deal. DeMarcus Robinson expires. So then all of a sudden you're looking at next year and you're like, so it's Ricky Pearsall and Jordan Watkins. That's all we have. I think they're in setting themselves up in a way where they've done a lot of 30 visits on wide receivers. Again, not that that actually means it means anything. It's a little tough where they don't need this rookie wide receiver to be everything for them. They can bring them in and bring them along as fast or as slowly as they're capable of. And I still think that could make a lot of sense based on how they value drafting wide receivers, especially late in round one or early round two, which is kind of their sweet spot for it. [00:28:33] Speaker A: Iuk, Pearsall, Debo early round two. You had, you had Brazil at nine overall. I thought I was getting saucy with 16. [00:28:41] Speaker B: I listen, I think the concerns are that he dropped a lot of balls. He's terrible at dragging his toes and phones it in in terms of like literally walks a lot of time. Yeah, here's how I counter that. Drops like actually don't matter. And I found that out when I was like listening to the narrative about what is it the Bengals wide receiver. [00:29:05] Speaker A: Jamar Chase. Jamar Chase catch anything in preseason. [00:29:08] Speaker B: Doesn't matter. It actually doesn't matter at all. That's How I rationalize it doesn't matter. [00:29:13] Speaker A: They had to bring in special football. They had to bring back the college footballs with the stripe on it because they thought that he was having a hard time seeing the ball coming into his hands. Jamar Chase. [00:29:23] Speaker B: Turns out it didn't matter at all. Two in terms of the toe drag swag, he'll figure that out. Or like, he won't and he'll still be sick because he's so long. But, like, he will get better. And a lot of college guys just haven't practiced it because they haven't needed to. Because you get one foot in so you're not worried about the second one. Some guys are naturally better at it or focus on it more. He'll figure it out. [00:29:48] Speaker A: I legitimately find it annoying when college players try to do two feet down because it's like, you don't need it. You're making life harder for yourself. Now you're probably going to drop it coming down because you're way off balance. Like, when you have to do it, do it. Like, I don't. This guy doesn't have any athletic limitations. That makes me think that he can't do two feet down. He just doesn't. [00:30:11] Speaker B: Just practice it. [00:30:12] Speaker A: Just practice it. It's not. It's. It's hard. [00:30:14] Speaker B: He's the perfect guy to take all that stuff can be ironed out. Learn from Mike Evans. From Mike Evans. He might know that would pretty guy. And then last one is like the blocking or the taking plays off. Tennessee is a weird team and people are like, well, he only played on the right side. That's their scheme. They are weird. Don't knock him because they're freaks. [00:30:36] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, he should have transferred out as soon as he actually got in the offense, but I can't put that up on him. No, the right side of the field thing, it's like, well, he couldn't go to the left side of the field because there was no time for him to go to the other side of the field. [00:30:50] Speaker B: I don't think they motioned, like, ever. [00:30:52] Speaker A: No, they don't motion. They run the same formation, save for the tight end or the running back switch sides. And so it's just a flip of a play. And no, they don't. They don't substitute, they don't motion. Their entire goal is to run as many plays as possible in a game. They are running a fast break every play. So when you watch, when you watch him, like, walk back, it's. If he's not. If he's not the primary target. His responsibility on the play. I know this firsthand. His responsibility on the play is to conserve energy. Because if you are a receiver in Tennessee, you have basically 2x receivers that line up outside the numbers on the line and you have to go 40, 50 yards every play because they just push it down the boundary. And it's a stupid system. I'm not advocating anyone else do this. [00:31:44] Speaker B: There's a lot of stupid systems, but that one's particularly egregious. [00:31:48] Speaker A: It is. Yeah. Them, the. Yeah. Josh Hyple and DJ Durkin. Try them at the Hague. That's my official stance from this draft class. [00:31:56] Speaker B: Yeah. Also Baylor, like, oh, like, don't. [00:31:59] Speaker A: Don't even start me on Baylor. It's been that way. [00:32:02] Speaker B: It's like USC where you're like, is this guy not good or is he surviving in spite of his system or is he good in this bad system? It makes evals impossible. Like with, you know, Michael Trigg or any of the USC safeties, where you're like, I don't know if you're good in spite of this system or what to make, but I'm losing my mind. [00:32:27] Speaker A: I'm not watching USC. [00:32:29] Speaker B: Also, look at USC's defense. Don't, first of all, don't. But like, they've got a guy out there. They've got a linebacker out there who's six six and 200 pounds. [00:32:39] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:32:40] Speaker B: And you're like, I don't understand what he is. I don't know what's going on here. [00:32:45] Speaker A: The Hague, it's maddening. We've talked a lot about just where. Where this draft class is and kind of how top heavy it is at certain positions. I'm not going to pull it up just because we don't want to give too much away, but you can go to Sickos football and find out for yourself. My top 100. I just wanted to go through by positions in numbers. Two quarterbacks, okay, 15 wide receivers, four tight ends, which is probably more than consensus. Three running backs. And I had to force one of them in there. 14 tackles, 10 interior offensive linemen. 24 of the top 100 are offensive linemen. And by the way, NFL teams will always default to like, oh, we have these guys graded the same. I don't take the beef offensive or defensive line, preferably offensive line. If you have somebody graded that way, that's really funny. [00:33:37] Speaker B: I actually hadn't broken it down. Position by position. I'll go after you're done. [00:33:40] Speaker A: Yeah. 25 defensive linemen. So there it is. Half of the entire group is lineman, 15 edge 10 DL. But again, a lot of mix and match there. Nine linebackers in the top 100. What planet are we on? 11 corners and seven safeties. So, yeah, weird year. [00:34:02] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:34:03] Speaker A: I mean, I like it. [00:34:04] Speaker B: Mine's pretty similar. Yeah. It's funny. It's like. Yeah, I like. I like a lot of the linebackers. I love the corners, for the most part. Some really sick safeties. And then, you know, safety gets weird. But there. There's some really good guys. It's funny. Like, we evaluated a couple, and then it's like, oh, he's not in this draft. He pulled out. And we're like, okay, I just spent a lot of time on him. [00:34:26] Speaker A: Dumb. [00:34:26] Speaker B: That's. That's cool. [00:34:29] Speaker A: The amount of guys where we're like, that's an idiot move. You might not get drafted next year. We had, like, a day to grade on you, but now you're probably not getting drafted next year, so good luck with you. [00:34:38] Speaker B: Yeah. I have three in my top 100. Ty Simpson is in there. Begrudgingly. [00:34:43] Speaker A: I did. I couldn't do it. [00:34:44] Speaker B: Yeah. Understandably. Just. Just barely slotted in. I had him as 76 overall, which I think, frankly, I was just going through, and I was ordering them in order, and I was like, fine, put him there. [00:34:57] Speaker A: Did you do the thing that I did, which is, I'd rather have this guy than that guy and just all the way down? Yeah. [00:35:03] Speaker B: Yeah. But then I had to list them in order, and so I sort of lost my brain in certain spots. Ty Simpson is, in theory, probably a little bit lower than 76 for me, but third round is about right for him. Yeah. Yeah. And then I. I had 14 wide receivers. I. I still don't know about Skyler Bell. We'll see. But I. I just barely. He was the last one that made it. Seven tight ends, five running backs. I had 13 offensive tackles. Although Trey Zoon is a guard, to me, an interior player. More. More than likely. Spencer Fano, probably. Listen, Maui Noah, who's number one on my board, he might be a guard. There's a lot. There's a few of those guys, a lot of that. But he's also going to dominate if he's a guard. Like, he's going to put you in a blender and throw you down. I think there's enough strength to work. [00:35:55] Speaker A: Strange irony. I would say that there are three offensive tackles that you could take in the first round that would be better than any guard that you and I graded. [00:36:04] Speaker B: Agreed. Agreed. [00:36:05] Speaker A: That Might be on the low end. It might be four or five. [00:36:08] Speaker B: Yeah, I think. Yeah, I think Maui, Noah, Fano, Proctor, I think would go over Prenyone, who's my top guy, and then Desantis. Oh, yeah, that's right. We have Vega third. Everyone has him as like a 15 overall. He's third for me. It's still like a lot of upside and could be the best of them, [00:36:25] Speaker A: no question, as is reflected in the evaluation. But, but like, I just, I don't, I don't get it. Still don't get it. [00:36:33] Speaker B: Yeah, I think I would take Prenone and Besantis over him. As I have reflected edge rushers. I've got 13 defensive tackles. I've got eight, which is pretty light, frankly. [00:36:46] Speaker A: Where did you load up at compared to me? [00:36:50] Speaker B: Where. Where are you light? [00:36:53] Speaker A: I would say that I'm light at tight end and running back. Four and three, respectively. [00:36:58] Speaker B: Yeah. I have five running backs, seven tight ends. [00:37:02] Speaker A: There it is. Yeah, that's wild. Seven tight ends. Boy, I was, I was on the struggle bus to get four. [00:37:09] Speaker B: Yeah. And it's like a lot of guys, it's like Sadiq up top and then a couple in the heart of round three and then some really late round three guys that could have been round four. And then. What else have I forgotten? Eight defensive tackles, nine linebackers. I had 13 corners and then seven safeties. [00:37:29] Speaker A: Okay, so let's tell the people how we, how we do this thing here. So new tier, new tier. So there is a new tier of subscriber. Last year we were getting our feet wet. Seek helps, were able to get in on the action. It was one PDF, which means that we didn't have web server costs and things of that nature. We didn't have to pay for those. [00:37:51] Speaker B: Sweet, sweet coding and all. Yeah, all that stuff. [00:37:55] Speaker A: So there's a new tier for draft guide. If you get in there, Jake will take care of you asap. Otherwise it is a, you know, pay for access thing now. [00:38:04] Speaker B: Yep. Also real quick, if you have a friend or an old person who is zero interest whatsoever in the channel, I would prefer you get it through the channel. It's cheaper through the channel. What if they have no interest whatsoever? There is a stripe portal right on the page. Just pay 20 bucks. You can do that too, if that's your preferred method. But again, it's cheaper on the channel. That's how it works. [00:38:29] Speaker A: And so, yeah, if you, if you are a, if you come in, what is the tier called? [00:38:34] Speaker B: A draft sicko. [00:38:35] Speaker A: A draft sicko. If You're a draft sicko. Will see you pop up. We'll send you a code. It's all very straight. [00:38:41] Speaker B: Go to the Community Channel. It's all the information should be in there. If you have any issues, comment, cry, send us a telegram. There is an email address dieterandjakemail.com Right. Any issues, anything you'd like to see fixed added feedback is open. [00:38:58] Speaker A: We would love so get all the stuff that Seek helps get. You're gonna get our quarterly gift, which I still have to figure out. But you know, the stickers, it seems like were a big hit and I'm very happy that everyone was able to get them. My wrist still hurts from doing that and not anything else. And then happily married. And it's. Yeah, it's, it's. It's a weird and strange time, but I think we're navigating it a. Okay. The draft guide is also like a living, breathing document, much like our wonderful constitution. And I almost did a trump impression there. That would have been bad for business. But yeah, like, we will continue to update and add and, you know, maybe a guy's ranking goes up a couple spots and maybe it goes down a couple spots. So maybe. Yeah. And you get to look up my house now on. On Zillow. That's super fun. We had a no doxing agreement. I have your address as well. I could have done it. I haven't done it. I can still do it. I have not deleted it fully yet. I will. Doesn't matter. And come, Come and clean my house. It's so. It's. It's now the, the draft Sicko tier is going to get you access to the guide. You can buy it straight up yourself. That's cool. Commenting is still the lower tiers. Everything all the way up is commenting. Not really sure. Do we still have that 5.99 tier? What's the point of it? [00:40:19] Speaker B: I don't know. I don't. I don't know. I don't remember. [00:40:21] Speaker A: Well, you just want to give us an extra $3. That's cool. So it's really Seek helps draft and low level. That's all good. And then the cool part about sickos.football is once we kind of get out of this draft stuff, it's going to go to a spot on the website and then that is going to be the repository for all things Dieter and Hutch from this point on. Now, obviously we'll still be on YouTube. We'll be doing all this stuff, but if you want anything that we're Referencing. We could throw up, show notes. We can do a bunch of cool stuff with Sickos football. [00:40:52] Speaker B: We got a website. [00:40:53] Speaker A: Look at this. [00:40:54] Speaker B: We just discovered the Internet. [00:40:56] Speaker A: It's 1998, baby. Let's do this thing. [00:40:59] Speaker B: And we will all live forever. [00:41:01] Speaker A: And have you been watching just 2006 NFL games late at night like I have. [00:41:07] Speaker B: I have been doing this. But no, I was watching du. I was watching du Eric Poll Camp Polecamp, baby. [00:41:16] Speaker A: Polkamp Go Sharks. [00:41:18] Speaker B: They're dead right now, but they will be revived next year. [00:41:23] Speaker A: We live in a wonderful age where everyone's brains are rotted, but even more so, we have access to every NFL game on YouTube between like the year 2000 and 2012. And I have just been flipping it on and let me tell you, these teams would kick those teams asses real hard. Would Matt Hasselbeck would die within minutes of being on a current NFL field [00:41:48] Speaker B: being committed against quarterbacks at a very, very regular rate. [00:41:52] Speaker A: But these teams are modern. NFL is so much faster, so much more scheme, diverse. It's like it's so much better to watch. And watching these old NFL games has just gotten me all hot and bothered for this draft and all the possibilities that come with it. And then of course all the good stuff that follows. [00:42:09] Speaker B: Listen, we've hated on this draft, but I'm excited. I'm legitimately excited to see what happens. I think a lot of people are going to make some really bad decisions. [00:42:18] Speaker A: Yes. [00:42:19] Speaker B: And I'm fine. I'm fired up for it. [00:42:21] Speaker A: Maybe that's the way we should have been phrasing it this whole time. Jake. This draft is such a mystery box, which by the way is a category on sicko stuff football that teams are going to do real dumb stuff. But they're not going to know for a while. But you and I will know and anyone who has the draft guide will know. And it's just going to be a blast and really excited. I mean, we'll be talking, we'll be leading up and bringing, bringing stuff up and coming back to the draft guide. But then we'll be live streaming night one, figuring it out after that. It's going to be a blast. [00:42:51] Speaker B: We or we will be streaming after it's over after the first round. [00:42:54] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, there's. There's absolutely no reason to be going pick by pick, but pick 27. [00:42:59] Speaker B: Just as a reminder, like last year there was a 49ers specific draft guide. Once the draft is over, there will be a separate page within the draft guide specific to the 49ers and that's [00:43:12] Speaker A: when we take all the. All the notes that we had that we didn't put in the draft guide. [00:43:16] Speaker B: That's right. [00:43:16] Speaker A: And we just dump them on you. Just like, I need to make sure all of our bases are covered. And yeah, last year's post Niners draft guide. I'll be honest, Jake, a legitimately better product this year. Elite product to start. But we expect, like, the. The level of detail and nuance once, you know, okay. With still some question marks about what the Niners and you know, what the [00:43:39] Speaker B: fit is because you're looking at it from a wide view of, like, what schemes would work, generally speaking. [00:43:46] Speaker A: Right. What are you trying to get out of this? [00:43:47] Speaker B: Because with most picks you're like, can this work within this system? Does it fit it? Like, some guys, you might be like, I don't like him personally, but if you use him in this way, he can work. Right. That's the art of the art of the draft. Don't do it anyway, I'm not doing it. I'm not doing it. I'm gonna go probably drink caffeine and then take a nap. But I'm very excited about this. I'm very excited it's out and to actually be able to share this and that. It's. That it's alive, it's living, breathing. [00:44:19] Speaker A: I can't believe it works. [00:44:21] Speaker B: I. Nor can I. Let's not drink it. Literal. Knock on wood. [00:44:25] Speaker A: But again, tell the people where they can go and how they can get it. [00:44:30] Speaker B: So it's on. If you subscribe to the channel, by the way, don't do it on the YouTube app. For some reason, it charges more on your phone. Don't do that. [00:44:38] Speaker A: No, it's bad. You have to go on a desktop. [00:44:40] Speaker B: Go on desktop, join the channel. It'll hit. You can click Join the Channel. There will be a draft seco tier. And then in the community section where there are posts, all the details are right there. It's got everything you need. And then it's www.sicks.football. and it's all. It's all right there. And if you have any issues, hit us up. [00:45:03] Speaker A: Yeah, send us an email for sure. And again, Living Breathing Documents. So keep it. Keep it bookmarked, come back to it. Just remember where you heard it first. And who is the Greg Dortch of this draft, which is truly the only. [00:45:17] Speaker B: I left that as a gift for Dieter. [00:45:19] Speaker A: Well, I think I wrote it three times in his evaluation. And then you're like, what if we did it 12 times. [00:45:24] Speaker B: Yeah. Dieter was like, comp. Greg Dortch. Upside Greg Dorch. I was like, no, everything is Greg Dorch. It's just Greg Dorch. [00:45:30] Speaker A: And I think that every year from this point on we'll have a Greg Dortch of the year. [00:45:34] Speaker B: Yeah, well, it's, it's like. Was it Willie Lampkin got a little secret emoji last year? He got the little mushroom man little code emoji. So. [00:45:42] Speaker A: And listen, we got little Easter eggs left, right and center all across this thing. Yeah. Hit us up. Deer, deer and Jake. Gmail.com again. Sickos football. Living breathing document and excited to get everybody in on the draft Sicko tier. And we move from there. We ride from. [00:45:59] Speaker B: Seriously, I seriously appreciate you folks. Wouldn't be. Hell yeah. Hell yeah. Hell yeah. It wouldn't be worth it. Genuinely, earnestly. Would not be worth it without you sickos. And I don't mean that performatively, but really, thank you. [00:46:15] Speaker A: Did I tell you that I put in a little personalized note for all the sickos who got stickers? [00:46:20] Speaker B: I heard, I have. Oh, I saw in the comments. But you didn't tell me. That's, that's lovely. [00:46:24] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, we got a little post it note and just told. There are a couple of them where I'm like, I need you to do this with this sticker and I'm looking forward to what is done with those stickers. So, yeah, it's going to be, it's going to be an absolute blast. A whole new, A whole new era of Dieter and Hutch. [00:46:39] Speaker B: The final frontier, if you will. [00:46:42] Speaker A: Yeah, you know, we thought that, we thought that with 49ers game day back in the day, let's just leave it at this. We can't get out now. We are locked into certain contract. We can't get out. And by the way, just, just for the record, we are open to sponsorships. I think we are now at 20. Sponsorships decline because it doesn't align with our values. So at some point we'll find somebody who we're cool selling. [00:47:05] Speaker B: But no, earnestly, earnestly. Not as like a. We are not interested in it if you're a weirdo or like a company that's representing some wax stuff that's maybe not doing great things to people's brains. Just saying we, we, we're trying to keep it that way as much as we can. Unless someone comes in with like the most outrageous, truly borderline, morally questionable offer of all time, at which point we will disclose that and, and they can stop doing that, but really, we only want to work. [00:47:39] Speaker A: But to this point, no one's come in, though. We got close, and I. I think that more than anything, you know, you might be saying, like, man, draft guy got to do a new tier and this and that. [00:47:50] Speaker B: I know. [00:47:51] Speaker A: Just we're not hitting you with, you know, I'll just call it out prize picks or, you know, we're not betting. We're not stealing portions of the show to have some sort of strange paid sponsorship. Like, who's the personal injury attorney? Player of the game. Like, we. Yeah, we want this thing to be, though. Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah. Local beer. We will sell. But the idea is that we are powered by your views, that we are powered by your patronage to steal a term from the master. [00:48:23] Speaker B: Otherwise, what's the point? [00:48:24] Speaker A: Yeah. And if we can get a little something Something off the top of some cool people, that's cool. But, you know, we're in a. We're in a. We're in a partnership here. Us in the audience. And again, we're in. We're in too deep, baby. We can't get out now. [00:48:37] Speaker B: Yeah, we are. But that's all a long way of saying, appreciate you, folks. Any questions, any feedback, anything, send it our way. And Draft Guide is live. Go get it. Appreciate you. [00:48:48] Speaker A: Adios.
